Srsly need help

Just purchased avid pro tools se keystudio.

Sittin on vista s1


Pro tools won't open as it cannot find avid hardware. Is it vista? Should I just return? Can I use ableton with keyboard?

Pro Tools SE is not supported on Vista, but usually works fine. Keep in mind Pro Tools is not looking for the keyboard, but the little USB device that came in the box called the Micro. Make sure you leave the Micro unplugged, install its driver from the SE disc, when you are finished plug in the Micro. Now try Pro Tools. Pro Tools will launch with or without the keyboard but not without the Micro. Yes, the keyboard will work with any software that allows a midi input. It will work with Ableton. .
