Default using mbox 3 pro with firewire hd

hey guys, i just bought a brand new Mbox 3 pro on ebay for $250 to replace my old mbox 2. im happy with the deal but i realized i have a problem. My iMac only has 1 firewire 800 port, and i want to connect the mbox pro and my lacie external audio hd (only has firewire 800) into this single port. i know there are ways to daisychain and convert 800->400 but i have no idea how to do it and it what order. The hd does support usb 2.0 maybe that is ideal in this setup? thanks

specs:
Late 2009 imac 3.06 GHz (4x USB 2.0, 1x FW 800)
Lacie Quadra 1TB Hard Disk (2x FW 800, 1x USB 2.0)

You should be able to connect the Mbox to the computer with a FW400-FW800 cable, or use a FW400 cable and an adapter. Then daisy chain the hard drive off the Mbox.
