Default Did Avid "Fix" the Floating windows problem in PT11 under Windows?

I am wondering if Avid had fixed the windows management for Windows where you can't maximize the screen for the edit or mix windows to output them on multiple screens?

While you can "sorta" do that on pre-11 Pro Tools by "dragging" the parent window across the two screens, then placing the each of the child windows (mix, edit, etc) on a separate screen, I believe the OP is referring to the ability to place each window independently on a different monitor...

I do not work for Avid (their loss)...my only relationship with Avid is that of a customer (when I'm not too poor to buy stuff, like now)...and that hot administrative assistant...that's more of a "thing" than a "relationship" (that should keep them guessing for a while...)

Just rockin'...what more is there?

While I don't know the specific answer to that my understanding is that PT11 is using the GUI that was introduced in PT8. I'm guessing nothing's changed here or they would have announced it during the Demo. Is this on IdeaScale? If not it should be.

There's a Pro Tools User/Ex Digi Software engineer named Bob Nagy that has a nifty multi monitor utility called "Skootch" that offers enhanced window control for Pro Tools users. You can contact him at BobNagy@aol(dot)com.

It is funny that every other window barring the mixer is totally independent of the parent.

I have also read that this is not how it used to be before PT7 or something.

I've heard of this and thanks for the link. I was wondering where I could find this.

Unless I'm missing something, the answer to the question is.... NO.

And this truly infuriates me as someone who has 3 monitors.
