Controlling Mainstage/Logic B3 from Pro Tools - HELP

I've successfully setup a midi link from PT to Logic (also tried w/ Mainstage) thru the IAC Bus and the notes, sustain and expression are working great.
The problem I have is that when I assign any midi fader (Roland System 8, Korg NanoKontrol, etc) to control the drawbars in the Vintage B3, the control only works in realtime, not during playback.
Here's the very strange thing... if I record drawbar moves into Logic's midi track using touch automation the drawbars moves play back. But when I record the midi in Pro Tools, sending thru IAC bus to Logic, the midi track won't move the drawbars on playback. I've verified that the PT track has cc data in the event list on the same channel as the notes.
What am I missing? Or is this just not possible?
