Default Artist Mix: Faders in touch mode are "crancky"

Hi,
I got myself a 2nd Mix unit. The first one works flawless.
The 2nd unit (new, out of the box): while writing automation in touch mode, the faders sometime (quite often) stop writing while still in auto rec, while still touching them.
Sometimes it is a physical fight: finger vs. fader motor.
So far it didn't happen in latch mode.
I work on mac pro, latest Eucon version, latest firmware.
Does anyone know what seems to be the problem?
All the best!

I’ve had faders not write, but never had them fight me before. Even on “read” they still move freely. This sounds more like a hardware issue. Since bought new, I’d return/exchange as soon as possible.

This sounds like the touch sense isn't working correctly. First swap the power supplies and see if that helps. If not I would return.

Thank you both.
Eddie, can it be a ground problem?

An update: Earth, wind and fire. In other words: the 2nd unit didn't have ground on the AC cable. So far, problem solved.
Thanks.
