Default Can you import wavs. into a protools session?

Is it possible to import wavs and aiffs into a protools session.. I know theres gotta be a way right?

And also are there any basic tricks to get the program running faster, regardless of computer strength (ours is a 1.6 P4 with the "not DDR (sd?)" memory) Thanks for the help. Peace

Yes, either file/"import audio to track", or the "import audio" from the menu in the region-window.

Yeah, I guess part of my problem is that command on my window stays shaded, so it won't work. Is there something wrong with my presets?

Hello

I beleive this is what you want to get the wav. files in....

File>Import audio to track

In the "Look in" box find the drive where the wav. file is located and it should end up in the large box below.Click on the folder that has the wav file in it.Once you see it double click on the wav file so it appears in the middle box and the far box to the right(Region- Import method box).Once you get your file in that box click on "Done" at the bottom right and it will then bring up another box "Choose destination folder".Make sure its the right folder and click on the long bar at the bottom of the box.

Hope this is what you needed.

DJ
