It changes if regions have fades or not.
The only way for renaming regions with fades is to double click in the region list.

I didn't stop being interested in the issue - it just appeared from your last post in the other thread that the problem was caused by corrupted preference files and that trashing/removing them allowed you to rename properly.

Is that not the case?

DTS, I wrote in my previous post that it happens with EVERY sessions created before with PT7 (and new sessions created with PT8 w/o deleting pref before), not only with a particular session.
Now I'm ending some projects, all created with PT7 and I'm having this annoying issue on every sessions I'm working on.
A tip or a workaround for avoiding this or even a word telling me that I would have to live with this issue until I work with sessions created from scratch in PT8, would have been appreciated.
