What is the purpose of the Digilink License?

If the interfaces were purchased prior to the release of 12.6 then they would not include the DigiLink license. Please let me know if we need to clarify this info.

This is why some 3rd party vendors push their own thunderbolt solution (for the folks that 32 i/o is enough) to go around that... but if you need over 32 i/o you need to pay for that license. Simple as that, even Avid's own need it.

f.ex at home i have apogee symphony II that has thunderbolt connectivity and HD option card installed. When I use TB then no digilink license needed but limit 32 i/o. When I use HD then I need digilink license and don't have i/o limit
