I use both Logic and PT simultaneously - I think this configuration rocks (if you can wrap your brain around it). I have an LC and when the HUI emulator program first came out I tried it and really didn't like it, so when this driver came out I didn't really give it much thought, but yesterday while doing a mix in PT I tried it and I'm happy to say that it is really pretty great.
Michael.... what I want to know is how to use it in PT while Logic is active as well (just to have the choice). It seems that if Logic is up, it sees it and pretty much claims it. Any thoughts??? Thanks!!!

I used a logic control with hui emulation for a while, and it worked great, especially for the price.

Is there any difference between the usability of the logic control in protools now that it is free from the hui emulation?

So now we don't have to have the xskey on the system... that's great. Good job emagic on making a sweet package!

Has anyone here gotten the LC to work with Digital Performer? Mine only works halfway; the controls move but the display doesn't change. It works fine with Pro Tools. Emagic seems to be stumped....anyone have better luck than me?

it would be nice if we could get a pro tools label overlay for LC, much like the DP or Cubase overlays for mackie control.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">I have to admit that we never thought that such a configuration would be desirable.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">No. I basically re-used the code from the old HUI Emulation application and converted it to an OMS driver, with additional Mackie Control emulation.

I primarily use Digital Performer. First question, can the Logic Control work with DP at all, since it uses an OMS driver? Has anyone tried it using FreeMIDI's OMS compatibility mode or OMS emulator?

Second, if it does work with DP, does it use DP's HUI driver, or its Mackie Control driver? In other words, can you do things like track grouping that are only supported in the Mackie Control driver?

Thanks,
Jacob
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">The new Logic Control OMS driver can emulate both HUI and Mackie Control. So: yes, it supports Digital Performer, using its Mackie Control driver.
