Default PT24/9600 to G4

Has anyone made the jump from a 9600 to a G4 with a PT 24 system? If so could you describe what performance differences you encountered. I want to get my system running faster than it does, and I'm curious what difference a G4 would make. Thanks!

I'm running a d24 on a G4 just fine.
You may need to upgrade scsi card too depending on OS and version of PT etc.
Check the web site under compatibility etc.
hope this is helpful.
