SPDIF question....
I have a question abou SPDIF/lightpipe. I am about to recieve an Akai S6000 in the mail. One of the built in outputs is over AES/EBU or SPDIF. However, the SPDIF looks like lightpipe....Is it possible to run a lightpipe cable from this SPDIF connection to the ADAT input on the back of my 001 PCI card and tell Pro Tools that it is SPDIF?
I am confused. Also, is there a AES/EBU to RCA SPDIF converter or crossover cable? Thanks Chris

Re: SPDIF question....
Hi Chris,
Just go in your hardware settings and set SPDIF to optical. Use the reqular lightpipe cable. Flying Cow and others make AES to other format converters. MR
