MCU Pro support Mac PTLE 8.0.1

Is anyone using MCU Pro in HUI emulation mode with PTLE 8.0.1?

Here I am: Mac Pro, Dual 2.66 dual core, 10.5.8, PTLE 8.0.1, MCU Pro with XT
Why I'm Here: I could use some help. My MCUP with XT works fine in Logic 9. I've never used the controllers with PTLE. I've upgraded PTLE to 8.0.1 put the MCU in HUI emulation mode and PTLE responds wonderfully with one glaring exception. I cannot control the onscreen faders with the MCU faders. If I move the onscreen faders the MCU faders motorize fine. But the reverse won't happen.
What I've done: Trashed preferences, moved ports, changed cables, repaired permissions, and other housekeeping. I checked the DIGI site under HUI support and do not see HUI compatibility beyond 7.4 for LE. (DUH!)I see support listed for 8.0.1 for M-powered and HD but not LE. Is this bad news? Would anyone have any info or experience to share? I would be grateful. Thanks.
