Default seperate region

Does this bother only me?
Why can't seperate region work on a track that is on a view display other then waveform.

let's say you could. once you've seperated, then you'll want to move/copy/nudge the region but how is PT supposed to know whether you mean the volume data or the region now? can of worms anyone?
