Default Apple wireless keyboard?

I'm thinking of replacing my old G4 keyboard with a G5 wireless. I have a bluetooth adapter already and with it I can use the Pro Tools cover I got from KB covers. Have the bluetooth issues been fixed in Pro Tools so I can do this?

Thanks.

There is still a known problem with bluetooth for the new iMacs that Digidesign has acknowledged on this forum. They are looking in to it. I don't know if this affects a MacPro. I use a wireless bluetooth mouse and keyboard with an older Mac Mini and have had no problems.

I have a Mac Pro. The system it's more stabile without the wireless keyboard. ANY bluetooth device is gonna cause troubles. Digi says that on the troubleshoting thread.
So DON'T.

Actually I don't like needing to change the batteries every now and then. I always forget to turn off the bluetooth mouse by sliding the cover on the bottom. It is one of the reasons I have not purchased the new Apple mouse with the finger swipping feature.

Haven't used my Apple wireless mouse in a long time but I think it will power down as soon as the bluetooth host (the mac) is "out of sight" – wether that means sleeping or shut down. So that shouldn't be an issue. Still, I had to change batteries way too often.

I use both the mouse and keyboard on my 2007 macbook pro with no problems. The battery life is very good on these, and they do go into power saving mode when the computer is shut off or out of range. Mine last months, and I never power off the keyboard.

So are you having any issues where it's causing problems with PT 8? I've been using a Logitech wireless mouse without any noticeable problems.
