There's no evidence to suggest that we're going to have to re-buy all our plugs as AAX. Many 3rd party devs are already releasing AAX versions for free, or as part of their latest version upgrades.

Just copied n pasted this from UA forum this guys says

"I saw a tweet from Anugs FXpansion indicating that a VST2AAX was going to happen..."

Now this would solve the problem also.

By the way Dism? Could you plz tell me who these 3rd parties are? So far I havent seen any 3rd party plugin that I use do this?

Waves will be including it as part of their regular WUP.

Cranesong Phoenix has already made the port. http://cranesong.com/Phoenix_II.html

Bluecat Audio as well. http://www.bluecataudio.com/Main/AAX/

McDSP is including the AAX format in their latest versions. http://www.mcdsp.com/index.php?optio...&Itemid=100028

Slate Digital has confirmed they are working on AAX, so have EW as well as SSL.

Check with the devs of your favourite plugins. Chances are, they're working on it.
