Is HEAT supported & HDN + PT 10.0.2 ?
Hi,
as per the new update : "The following AAX plug-ins and add-ons are now available for purchase on Mac and Windows operating systems: • HEAT" Is this Mean HEAT is now supported under HDN system with PT 10.0.2? Thanks AK |

Heat is TDM/HDX only

Obviously it's AAX now, he's asking if it's AAX Native, or still just DSP. The Phoenix II is native now, so it would make sense for Heat to available as well.

That's too bad. I switched from an HD 2 to HDN system without losing the Phoenix ... I've never tried Heat but it would've been nice to be able to give it a whirl.

I don't see why this wouldn't be added to HD Native and CPTK down the line. It's a separate paid for plug-in after all($500), which is another revenue source for Avid. These things usually trickle down the PT line over time. At the very least it should be available in HDN for cross compatibility with HDX.

It's not a plugin. It's a different rendering of the mix engine that adds control over it.
