Re: Will this help you on your own?
That guitar looks very nice.....I don't have one but it looks really good for a starter guitar.
The apps on that webpage look very standard for what is floating around out there these days. I use Guitartuna on my phone as well.....it works great. I started learing guitar way back when there were melbay books and your friends showed you their licks. Youtube is such an amazing resource and the teachers are free..... Think of a song you like and and type it along with guitar tutorial and search.... Instant nirvana..

Re: Will this help you on your own?
Mel Bay is still a going music book publisher. I do remember them from back in the old days
When I started guitar I took a year of lessons; this was back in the 60's. Played a lot and got fairly good at it being essentially self-taught. There are some techniques I really need a teacher's help on with slide guitar being at the top of that list. My slide work ain't that good. But trying to find a decent teacher in the area that will take on someone my age (66+) is a fool's errand. There's only so much I can get online. |
