Video Satellite LE question (Pro Tools 10)

Hi,
I have setup a video satellite working fine. It took me a moment to understand why the satellite can‘t use a hd interface but then I realized there‘s a full satellite license just a little more expensive...
But: I would like to use the hd interface in the meantime for my analyzer application. But with Mac OS 10.8.5 it‘s impossible to use the interface for any Core Audio application while Pro Tools is running, even if the interface isn’t used as Pro Tools is Video Satellite LE.
Did I miss something? Are there any workarounds?

No, but one... I found out yesterday it works if I start the core audio application first and open Pro Tools after that. Just in case someone else runs into the same problem.
