I may have missed it but has Adam said exactly what part of chug guitar is he trying to get? The rhythm of the chugging or the sound (tone) of the guitar itself? Two different things. If the sound he's going to need to start with an axe with humbuckers. Also if he could give us examples (bands/tunes/styles) of what he wants it would help a lot.
