Eucon/Artist Mix Trim Automation selection

Hi, look at this video.
Eucon version 3.7.0.134 with protools hd 12.8.1 on Windows 10

It happens at some point during a mix that the PT Control button assigned to the trim Automation eucon command remains pressed (is dark brown instead of orange), acting like a latching button, and then I'm able to select the trim Automation mode pressing the assign/SEL button on the artist Mix.

This is cool but I can't replicate it by my self. Usually the trim button is momentary and to assign the trim Automation to a channel you need to push the PT control button and the assign button (or auto button) on the artist Mix.

Is it a nice bug?
I'm I missing something?
