Default Aggregate Device and I/O Setup Issue

Hello,

I did setup an eleven rack (connected by usb to the mac pro and spdif to a symphony) and a symphony as an aggregate device ...

However, when I run PT11 and try to setup the I/O in the IO Setup of Pro Tools ... I get the beachball and can't use PT anymore ...

Anyone facing this issue ??

Best

If you're using the 11R with Spidf, there's no need to use it as an aggregate device. Not sure what you're trying to do.

Why don't you just buy one of the solutions offered to you in your other thread? You always want to do things the hard way. Besides the mic pre in the 11R isn't all that great compared to some of the solutions given in the other thread.

Thing is he does research but like you say not enough and doesn't have any forethought of what he really wants to do. That's what budgets are for - write down your wants and needs and your finances and see how they meet up.

If his sig is correct and he hadn't realized by now he needed a mic pre it might be time to pack it in and go back to a career in finance.

DJ, are you trying to use the Guitar input and the mic pre at the same time? Because if it's just the mic pre, in standalone mode, you can select it as the Rig input, and bypass all the amps/effects.
