Default How do I export something Quicktime will play on the iMac

I'm new at this, obviously.

The AIFF format that ProTools 19 offers as the only export option is not seen by Quicktime. I tried down on the lower part of the export dialog box, and it diced the file into about 15 pieces.

Surely, there's a simple way to export a file so you can play it back or send it to someone.

Can some kind soul point me to a tutorial on this or just lay it out in a response?

Thanks!

Are you trying to bounce a multitrack mix or export a clip or commit a single track?

Quicktime player can open lots of file formats. Right-click on the file in Finder and select "Open with... other application" select quicktime player and choose "Always use this" (or whatever it says in your language). That file format will then always be handled by quicktime player.

You wrote that AIFF is the only format Pro Tools will export... that's not correct... In Pro Tools, you don't use Export, you use Bounce to Disk. It's under the File Menu... You highlight the beginning and end of the audio you want to export first, then choose Bounce to Disk and choose the Wav file format. Most video uses 48k... So bounce a Stereo Interleaved Wav File at 48k... Hope that helps. Gina
