So here's what happened:
I went to a friends place to help them with their PT LE 7.3 (might have been 7.0) setup and everything was going fine. The only issue we had was that the Amplitube LE wasn't showing up in the plug-ins. After trying various thing to fix this, we decided to start from scratch and uninstall and reinstall. We did that and now the Mbox2 isn't responding at all. We can't fire up PT to change any hardware settings, and CoreAudio won't connect to it either. I'd think it was the cable, but it shows up in the "about this mac/harware/usb". It shows up as an Mbox2, but that is the only thing that is working with it. The Mbox itself isn't powering up at all no matter what we do. The reason I don't know if it is 7.0 or 7.1 is that they installed it in December when they got it and can't recall if they did the upgrade, but they don't think they did. It's an Intel mac duo core, or something like that, so I'm thinking that if we update the software to 7.1.1 it might be OK. Is that the case? Until I go back over there tomorrow, I won't have anymore info, but I can give all the specifics when I'm there. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help. |

Check the compatibility docs but I think 7.1.1 was the first release to support the Intel Macs. The older software won't work.
