Re: security information updates. (1344) NO Joy
What exactly is giving this error? When exactly?
If I had to guess it looks more like a Windows message, I'll eat my hat if Avid software worried about "security information updates". edit: Nope that was probably wrong, looks like a error when manipulating file ACE (access control entry). So likely could be coming from Pro Tools. So either likely hard coded error or it's a corrupt session or something weird about file permissions upsetting things. My gut is it's unlikely to be anything to do with memory usage per-se. Windows auto updates are disabled? Are you running any AV software? Including Windows junk? (don't, disable or better uninstall that crap.). In English, what does "dumped the pro tools config folder and dumped the plugin folder." exactly mean. Re: security information updates. (1344) NO Joy
So I'd be very suspicious of sessions, does this happen when just starting Pro Tools, when a session is not open? Does this happen in multiple sessions? Does it happen if you create a new empty session? Totally empty, not from a template. Try creating that somewhere different, on a different drive that usual. Like put it on your boot drive. Make sure the session is running on NTFS not FAT-32 or EXFAT or anything else.
What exact version of Pro Tools are you using? You are using sessions not cloud projects right? Make sure any problem session has all its assets in the session folder, not out in some weird place. Hopefully you have excluded plugins, by moving all .aaxplugin files out of the plugin directory, trashing prefs (use the PT Trasher tool), and restarting Pro Tools... does that problem still happen if you do that?
