32 Bit vs 24 Bit
This is probably a stupid question, but does anyone know why ProTools commits and creates 32 Bit Float files, even when the session bit depth is 24 Bit?
I sent sent a "committed" track to someone for Logic without realising that a) I'd sent a 32 bit file, despite working in 24 Bit and b) Logic doesn't support 32 bit files. What's the point of having an option for session bit depth if ProTools just ignores it when it's creating new files? |

Re: 32 Bit vs 24 Bit
Commit writes the output of last plugin, which is 32bit float

Re: 32 Bit vs 24 Bit
There is a preference setting for that.
