Default Ikmultimedia ARC 2 and Commercial tracks

I’ve been using ARC2 on my master buss for a while now when mixing and find it quite good. I was mixing and using a reference track which was a commercial track. I then decided to pick some of the speaker simulations to hear my track through car speakers, TV speakers, boom box etc I noticed my track sound changed quite a bit, but when I put the commercial track through it, the sound hardly changed, it was very consistent.

Now I know the idea is to make your mix translate well on all systems which mine kind of did, but it still had an overall different tone which I switched the virtual speakers, but the overall tone of the commercial track stayed the same.

This was quite an eye opener for me really

I struggle to get my mixes to sound good on various types of speakers also. That is what a good Mastering Engineer is paid to do.
