Default Firewire 1814

Got my PT mp 6.8.2r and Firewire 1814 up and running and I have a question that m-Audio answered badly. Is it possible to use the SPDIF in/out for and external effects box and use the ADAT in/out at the same time? I used to be able to do this on my 002r rig. I am locking the Digital clock of my ADAT interface with the 1814 via the BNC cable. In the control panel there is no way to high light the two digital sources at the same time. The 002r had a mirror function and a separate function for using them for extra inputs.
Thanks
