Is anyone else having trouble logging in to iLok?
I can't count the times I entered my user name and password and had it rejected due to "bad credentials." Finally, after typing in the same thing periodically for 45 minutes it finally connected and let me access my iLok account.
Is anyone else having this problem? I'm guessing the iLok site has been swamped with infuriated customers today that can't access their new PT 11. Or maybe it's just a glitch on my end. Has anyone else had this problem? |

It's quite simple. At the first run it scans all HD's for licenses. It depends how many HD's you got. My iLok app needed about 18 minutes to scan through. After that all licenses were displayed and you can sign in.

so you can't sign-in via the iLok app UNLESS your iLoks are plugged in and ready to be scanned?

Oh, cool. Only 18 minutes. But I was referring to being able to just login to the site. It took me about 45 minutes for it to just accept my username and password and let me in. I don't think I typed it 15 times the wrong way.

Lot's of wrong info on here...
Look for the "official" instructions from Avid/Pace on this board, especially the ones where they specifically say to make sure that your iLok is not inserted when you log in. And, you won't see anything about your licenses until you are able to log in, which the OP was not able to do...

I know what I saw. But besides that, I wonder if we can all get together and think of any way to make opening a paid and legal version of Pro Tools, and the iLok ordeal, any more initially difficult and confusing than it already is.
