pro tools 11 - set tempo to match an audio region ( no stretch )
some people - like me - record like this:
plug in your instrument, push record, play WITHOUT CLICK keep playing til i play a nice riff. stop. cut the loop. at this point i need to "Set the Project Tempo to Match an Audio Region" logic pro can do it. many logic users will tell you this is incredibly useful. you got a perfect loop, looking like this. you "Set the Project Tempo to Match the Audio Region" and with 1 click, you got this: i need this in pro tools. pleeeeeease tell me pro tools got this feature. if pt10, or 12 can do it. that would be fine aswell. i just seriously need this feature you find a million tutorials on how to time stretch loops to match tempo, and nothing to make the tempo fit the loop. what planet is this i am not talking about detecting a beat in my region, or time stretching. im saying whatever random azz audio clip i choose to loop, i need that quick way to adjust tempo so the random azz audio clip is exactly 1, 2, 3, or whatever amount of bars i want it to be pls help me out |

im sure you ruin many threats
the next guy who looks for it, will find your DUMB answer, instead of a nice response. but anyway. i found it thx to a friendly guy on gearslutz. the feature is called "identify beat" strg+I cmd+I cut your loop, select it, put in the timestamp you want the loop to have. boom. (if the feature is greyed out, turn on conductor in transport window) Last edited by mikemeloni; 05-08-2016 at 04:07 PM. |

Actually his response is quite valid. There's a lot of information in the user manual in fact. All the information for everything pro tools can do is in the manual.
