Deleting Clips Without Erasing Automation?
Is it possible to delete clips in the mix window, without also deleting the automation?
In case, how is it done? |

Re: Deleting Clips Without Erasing Automation?
Not that I'm aware of... What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

Re: Deleting Clips Without Erasing Automation?
Yes, this works. You have to switch off "Automation Follows Edit".
There's a button for it underneath the tools, or you can do it in the prefs.

Re: Deleting Clips Without Erasing Automation?
I want to replace a certain clip without having to redo the automation.
For example, if I'm mixing a track that's done in another daw, and I find I need to change something in, let's say the string part, to change maybe change a note... If I delete the clip and import a new part, I also delete all automation. |

Re: Deleting Clips Without Erasing Automation?
you could also just create a new playlist and drag your New Audio onto that ... automation would stay the same ..
cheers john

Re: Deleting Clips Without Erasing Automation?
You can also save automation data in a template and drag any audio over it you want.
