Pro tools 11 playback issue

Hi,
I just recently encountered a problem playing back audio using Aggregate I/O. The audio plays back with high frequency clicks - probably 5-10 per second, seeming to jump between left and right. It sort of sounds like when the H/W buffer size is set too low and playback can't keep up. The problem persists when I play back from either both pro tools 10 and pro tools 11, but only occurs when the playback engine is Aggregate I/O. I usually play back through a TC interface, and it works fine through that. (I don't actually know how long this has been a problem for since I rarely use Aggregate I/O.) I've tried trashing prefs, messing with all the settings in the playback engine of both pro tools 10 and 11, and I've tried manually uninstalling and reinstalling pro tools 11. Now I'm out of ideas. Can anyone help?

What's the sample rate ? If it's too high your aggregate device may not have that capability

The one I am working on now is 48 kHz - well within the capabilities of the internal sound card. I've tried it with a few different sessions as well.

Strange - have you tried backing up and updating to the latest PT release? 11.2.2

Yeah, I tried updating to 11.2.2, and that didn't fix it. (When I uninstalled and reinstalled I went back to 11.2.0.)

Weirder - why are you aggregating? What are you gaining?

Haha.. good question... I have just always used that as the playback engine when I'm using the internal sound card because that's what I used back in the day when macbooks had separate inputs and outputs. Built-in output works just fine so I think I'll just let it be a mystery why Aggregate I/O doesn't work! Thanks!

I have had the same issue. Click/pop noises on playback while using aggregate I/O. Noises, at least for me, are only on playback, though they can heard while recording are not printed to the tracks (phew!).

I don't really need to use aggregate I/O very much either, but I'm curious to know if there is a solution to this issue.
