Default Analog Synths/Bass Pedal Synths

I have a friend who is an electrical old school engineer (anyone remember Cano Electronics??) who has just sent me a new device, which he calls the "Saurus" its a awesome bass pedal analog synth. I am getting the hang of it, but I am wondering if anyone here has some tips for using the analog synths.

Is it just dial about and figure it out?

I did one quick "getting to know you" song just to experiment. Saurus Storm

My goal for my friend is to make a complete arrangement only using the presets on his saurus. The one he sells only has presets, wheras the one that I have has lots of knobs and switches. Will actually spend some time on the arranegments, but have to figure out how use the darn thing first!

I will post a pic when i can...

It sounds like it is similar to a Nord Lead when you talk about it man. If I had it in front of me I could probably help you out a bit more as you have to sort of experiment with all the knobs and see what they do.. lol I used to program on an old Esoniq ESQ 1 though back in the day. Analog stuff like that can be a blast once you figure out the controllers. yeah, please post a pic and I will see if I can decode with you man.

btw.. just listened to your sample from it and it sounds like it would be hours of fun to make a track with that thing man. heheh You could do some pretty spacey sounding stuff with it from what I hear so far.
