Are you serious dude, after all that you still don't get the fact that they are not done and are most probably working on a beta version right now?

Really? I mean I'm from Texas and I got the hint.

So I agree that avid site is almost impossible to find anything but

http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/e...icensing-FAQ#6

This says it without saying it....terrible wording

The question is I have HD11 look at the answer for that....it says only receive bug fixes until Dec 31, 2105

Not really an answer, not really the best answer, not even really a clear answer but hey there it is

Daniel, you do not know me from Adam so, not sure why you would not reply to me like this - i respect your opinion .. please respect mine ..

so, of course i get it, what do you think the point of this thread is .. but the answer was so political it made me write a reply for clarity .. and if you do Not say something every once in awhile you get stepped on and forgotten about by .. thats if Avid even looks at this forum .. they probably have someone (see below for my moderator comment in bold)

so my point, if anyone else needs to know is this, and it is the same as i asked when writing this ..

is that it for PT 11.3.1 ?? and the answer was NO, from 2 moderators, who if i am not mistaken do Not work for Avid - this is just a place to discuss things .. so i asked for more info .. PLEASE let me know if I am incorrect in this statement about Moderators .. i am happy to be wrong and find out they are truly on the Avid payroll ..

am i allowed to be angry and upset about something and voice my opinion, you bet I am, just as You are ..

these forums become silly at best when people try to read something into a statement that was a little unclear to them, instead of asking nicely for more info .. if we were face to face you would not need to read anything into my words .. you would see the emotion, or lack of in this case, clearly ..

this is business for me ..

so sorry for asking a simple question and then commenting in a follow up .. my bad ..

i must be too old to understand how these forums work .. i should just ask for my medication earlier so i do not get an urge to visit here and read ..

awaiting my Banning like a soldier .. patient and resolved ..

cheers and good day john

Hi John,

Asking questions is what this forum is here for. And you (and everybody else) are welcome to do so.

The question asked in the title of this thread has been answered. Pro Tools 11 is not abandoned.

However, the exact nature and timing of any coming updates has not yet been released.

I know this isn't answering all of your questions, but it's all we have right now. We are all waiting together here.

And, you are correct. Moderators are not employees.

thank you Tom ..

and Daniel .. sorry for confusion, i was not referring to HD .. no worries .. but maybe the person that wrote or read that was speaking of HD updates until dec 2015 .. but good to know for a couple clients that use HD / HDX .. as someone mentioned there should be an Update on the HD Update pricing soon ..

and i love you for the Date Typo .. was that a copy and paste from Avid's site ??

quote - "it says only receive bug fixes until Dec 31, 2105" .. 2105 gives us some breathing room for sure .. very funny mistake ..

cheers john

HD and non-HD are the same software, it's the ilok license that determines which features are unlocked. If your worry is that Pro Tools HD will be updated and regular Pro Tools won't, then you have no reason to worry.

Not concerned about anything but PT11.3.1 and moving forward with service updates before it is abandoned at some point in the future .. Cheers john

John all apologies

I was pretty sure you had understood the first time....but it's cool you wanted the official unofficial answer, I understand.

You may however have gotten the very same answer in person from me, but then again since I don't know you, you probably wouldn't have, not at first anyway!

Great that you have been informed of the teams plans now...cheers and best of luck
