Another option is to use the Trim plugin to pull it back. You could automate it to pull back are just certain spots.

Good luck!

Donald, thanks so much for your suggestions, the Renaissance compressor worked wonders and my problem is fixed, there’s so many plug ins I haven’t had a chance to thoroughly explore yet, I really appreciate your time.

It won’t let me post a video only a picture, but the Renaissance compressor that was suggested above solved my problem I believe it was just some really harsh picking sounds, thanks

Thanks again for your time

Something that would help is to answer the question I asked that you ignored: how are you recording the guitar - microphone or via a built-in piezo pickup? This would have an effect on the sound and could possibly point to a bit of a good answer so it doesn't happen again.

We don't need a video but the audio would help. There's enough excellent guitarists here who can help.

Recording it into a mic that’s plugged into my mbox, not a piezo pickup

How do I add audio or video to my post on here the only options I see are to add a photo or an image from online?

Upload the audio to Soundcloud and post the link, dropbox or Google drive work too

Mic type and how did you position it? Like I wrote earlier a complete description of your setup is a good thing.
