C|24 connection issue with Protools HD12

Hi all,

We've both running PT HD10 and PT HD12 on El Capitan. C|24 works with PT HD10 but, we can't make it visible in peripherals PT HD12.

I deleted preferences, created new user account but, nothing helped.

I also run the Ethernet tests successfully in C|24. Oh and already tried with different cables and ports.

We have lots of work going on, because of that it's not a good decision to uninstall PT HD10.

Any help would be awesome.

Have you double checked under peripherals that the Controller is active. There is a option to turn the ethernet on and off there so check that ethernet ports a re active and on.

Some part of my day passes like checking and unchecking ethernet box for scanning everyday.

Today I tried new thing. I manually changed the IP adress of the ethernet port that C|24 connected to. Still no luck..

Avid Support mentioned that it might be having two PT versions on the one system and advised to uninstall PT HD10. But, it's not a bullseye guarenteed solution. They said "might be". When we have a gap of time this will be the first thing to try but, not now because of going on projects. And it is too annoying that can't figure out what the problem is.

Try this:

1. Go to control panel. Make icons big.

2. Select Network and Sharing center

3. Click change adapter settings

4. Right click local area connection and select properties

5. click install and select protocol

6. click have disk

7. click browse and go to c:\program files\avid\pro tools\Ethernet Support

8. Click diginet and press ok. avid icon and c24 support protocol is there and press ok again.

Should work in PT12 now as long as you have a HD license of PT12
