Default yamaha 01v.

I'm trying to get my hands on a yamaha 01v, but I want to make sure that I'm not wasting my money. The reason why I want to buy it is because I tired of using the mouse for everything. I know I can buy a motor mix(which I don't like)or the Mackie HUI(which I can't afford, by that way I think is overprice, why would i buy it when cubase has an interface which is about 1000 dollards.)

Would it be smart to use the 01v for mixing?
What are the cons and pros?
I appreciate your advices, thank you.
