Mac OS X PT6.1 Freezing Up. Please help!

I am running a MAC w/ OS X, Pro Tools Version 6.1 w/ one Mix 24 Farm Card. (TDM but not HD).
I am working on recording. Either while recording or playback, my computer is freezing every hour or 2. Then I have to reboot. I've listed some of my settings below. I am recording on a drive other than my system drive. My system drive has over 3GB free space. Do you have any suggestions for settings I could change to help with this problem? Thanks! CPU Usage Limit 85%
Number of Voices 64 (2 DSPs)
DAE Playback Buffer (Level 2 Default)

Hi,

Your system drive has 3 gig free that is no where near enough!!

Time to be doing some house keeping on your system drive and some general maintainance on your drives. clean them up and make as much space free as possible and try a program like cocktail to run some maintainance.
