Yes, it happened. 1st time in years. we worked off the backup drive unknowingly all day yesterday mixing a song and at the end of the day, ran synchronize pro X to backup from our internal sessions drive to that backup drive we were working off all day. We shut the drive off immediately and went home for the night. I opened the session drive today to see a 4 day old version of the session, so I haven't spun up the Backup yet, and I'm playing with FileSalvage demo, which i can train to learn what a protools file is, but it recovers as file1.ptf, file2.ptf etc, with no name, or date information, and finds thousands of them, at varying levels of corruption or overwrite.
Does anyone have any success stories of recovering a .ptf file after it's been deleted off the drive with any consumer software. T.I.A |
