Default ProTools M-Powered 7 on windows 7

I recently bought used ProjectMix I/O which came with ProTools M-Powered 7 software. I normally work in Cubase on a PC, but since I already got the ProTools I wanted to try it too. Problem is, I cannot get it to start up. I installed it using the installation CD, and updated using an update cd to version 7.3. I also downloaded fresh iLok drivers from the iLok website. Installation of ProTools seems to went fine, but i cannot get the program to open up, instead I gat an "exception" error.

I tried searching various forums (including this one) but didn't find a solution. Latest thing I tried is this: http://youtu.be/gEA6gex2ZWc it didn't work.

As I understood, Avid didn't officialy release a fix for this?
