Default Found how to scroll tracks up and down with mouse!

I have been trying to find a better way to scroll tracks up and down in the edit window, without having to move the mouse over and grab the scroll bar on the right hand side.
Just stumbled on this today. Click to the right of the waveforms, hold down the left mouse button and drag up and down!! It rolls the tracks from top to bottom!

Ever been zoomed in on tracks 1 and 2 and need to quickly zip down to track 16 to check something, and then zip back up to the top, without having to move the mouse in the timeline? This should do it!

Thanks for the tip. One little tweak I would like to see is the contents of the screen move "while" dragging the scroll bars. Currently, they move only after dragging the scroll bar and this leaves room for guesswork when navigating through tracks. Having the window move during scrolling gives immediate feedback and better control as to navigation. The same goes for vertical as well as horizontal scrolling.

Wow, I posted this back in 2000, hard to believe it came back up again?

Strange, when I first posted this nobody even gave a response!

Glad you found it helpful!

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">I have also found it helpful to have a dynamically scolling view controlled by the mouse.
Originally what I wanted to do was just roll my mouse wheel and scoll tracks up and down without having to move over to the scroll bae every time. This way editing is faster while zoomed in.

Thanks,
