Default Included Di-Fi and Maxim plugs

Hi Guys,

I noticed on the info page for the 002R is says that the Di-Fi and Maxim plugs are included with the Digi002R and 002. If I buy one do I need to then fork out the bucks for an Ilok as well to make them work?

Thanks

Matt

Hey LP,

Do you mean they are demo versions of the plugs? That doesn't make any sense? Why do they bother advertising them then? Please say it isn't so, that would be rip off and bad marketing. I'm thinking about getting one and those plug-ins do seem like a nice addition.

Cheers

Matt

I"ve recentlly bought 002r with all these plug-ins included and they work fine but I have a problem with midi connection and as I noticed on DUC a lot of 002 owners do. Mine hasn"t been solved yet and I tried everything......Mirok

LP and Mirok,

Thanks for your replies. Mirok I'm sorry about your midi issue, doesn't sound good at all?
Not that I can help you because I don't own one but what do you mean it is not working?

LP what seems to be the problem with the plugs can you point me to another post where people have issues so I can read more?

Thanks

Matt

I traded up to a 002 factory a couple of weeks ago; it came with an iLok that has authorizations for all the plugs except D-fi & Maxim. Those two came with authorization codes you enter in when you start up PTLE. My codes didn't work quite right out of the box, so I called tech support after I registered the 002 & they dropped the authorizations into my iLok account. I was then able to add them to the included factory iLok & everything works great now.

So, the short answer is yes, the full versions are included.

Also, I couldn't get MIDI input recognized until I updated to PTLE 6.4; now that works great too.

Hope that helps,
John

They are included in the "Factory Bundle".

They are not included in the standard software bundle that comes with 002R.
This is just 30 day demo.

I believe this is misleading, since I thought I was getting full version of those items.

Hey John,

Thanks for that info, kinda makes me think about getting the foctory, just don't have the extra money right now. The bonus is that at least you can purchase it down the line.

Surf, you are right that is VERY misleading and I'm shocked that Digi makes a deal of it if all it is a 30 day trial!

I wonder what Digi has to say about it if anything, I'd ask them but it seems i can only get hold of tech support once I buy a unit and register it or at least have a reg number?

Cheers

Matt
