RTAS And TDM
I know that TDM systems can read the plugins as well the automation info, from the RTAS level plugs. However would one need to purchase TDM plugins, if they wanted to upgrade from an RTAS system? Can RTAS Plugins work on a TDM system?

Yes. Go to the Products section, and click on the Plug-In Finder in each product subsection. On the initial Plug-In Finder search page for each system, you'll find a description of which plug-in formats work on those systems.
