Default keyboard shortcut to view entire session

This is assuredly a simple one, but it's got me stumped.

In PT v10, I used Command + A to view everything on my entire timeline. It would fit it perfectly into my window.

In v11, that same command zooms way out, so my entire session is very small at the start of the timeline with many minutes of blank timeline showing after my session. There is nothing that far down the timeline, so it shouldn't be zooming out that far. What's happening? Did the shortcut change? I couldn't find anything about it.

In the same vein, I've heard that ProTools likes short (less than 10 mins) default session times (that you can determine in preferences). Is there any truth to better ProTools behavior with a shorter default time?

Thanks!

Cmd+A is to select all clips on selected tracks.

Option+A is to fit the entire session to window (horizontally).

I haven't had issues with this in 11. Could there be an automation breakpoint further down the timeline causing this?

Wow! Command vs. Option! ha

I hope it's that simple. I'll check that tonight. Thanks very much PT Lover!

My day job has a similar but different set of shortcuts. I hope I just got my wires crossed there for a bit.

But even so, it's strange that I was getting that super zoom out with the key command. hmmm

Yeah, I use Pro Tools 7, 10 and 11 almost on a daily basis, and also RX 3, FCPX, Motion and Photoshop quite regularly. This is a disaster waiting to happen.

I hope not! The post industry and composers would be totally left out in the cold.

Bumping this back up, cause I'm definitely pushing Option + A on a Mac and it zooms out to see an hour of timeline, even though my current session is only a minute and 40 seconds.

??

Anyone know if there's a setting I'm missing somewhere? I use Option+ A almost as much as I save.

Have you tried to clear all automation on all tracks from just after the song?

This definitely sounds like you have something sitting way out there and if not automation, tempo change, key signature, marker - something is out there.

Fit session to window is Alt+A.
