Fwiw... same problem. Yosemite 10.10.1 and Pro Tools 11 HD. I wish Pro Tools would provide an official fix soon. Surely there are a gazillion users with this issue.

I'm very confused as to whether or not the Mbox Pro 3rd gen is actually supported. I'm experiencing the same problem with the Playback Engine not showing the Mbox as well as the Mbox software not seeing it either. I've read all the info I can find on the avid site as well as the Mbox driver info. I'm going a lil crazy right now. Can anyone confirm this for me either way? And, will the fix seen previously in the thread apply to the Mbox Pro 3rd?

Default Mbox Pro and Yosemite 10.10.2

I noticed the latest drivers where up to 10.10.1... Anyone know when the driver for the 3rd Gen MBox Pro will be available for 10.10.2?

Thanks....

Unfortunately Avid don't usually give any dates like that, in case something changes and that deadline is missed. I would guess that it will probably be the same driver, just qualified for use with 10.10.2.

You're best to not update your OS until Avid have qualified both Pro Tools and interface drivers for use with the updated OS.

Default Re: Mbox 3 with Yosemite?

and now for some good news:

being endlessly frustrated with my only partially functioning MBox3 Pro I gave it another chance, re-installing drivers, re-setting up the box in an aggregated device, doing the 'switching' between s/pdif and internal clock source and so on.

In short: out of whatever reasons it's working again, audio is streaming and I can change settings in the Mbox app again. So far no funky noises when dragging audio files into a session - I'm flabbergasted and I bowed deeply towards the East.

It worked before it stopped working and it works again now - no rhyme or reason.

Maybe it's just the sequence with which I did my magic ritual this time....
