Default Mac Mini core duo - can it handle PTLE 7 M-powered?

Looking at purchasing the mac mini w/ 2ghz intel core duo 2 gigs ram and two external firewire hard drives for recording.

Have there been any benchmark tests done? Can it handle 48 tracks?

Looking to use it with Protools M-powered with music production toolkit, Reason 4.0 rewired and Nostalgia instrument plugin mainly along with a few other efx plugs sprinkled here and there. This isn't for vocals; this is a remix setup.

I'd basically fly the vocals in and hook them up (stack, effect etc.) That's the most I'd do as far as vocals; everything else will be drums and keys.

My apologies if this was already posted but the search feature on this website is a bit complex and doesn't yield quick results.

48 tracks might be a bit much but I bet you can do 32 plus aux tracks at the 1024 buffer setting with plenty of plugins.

Just went through every nook and crannie on digidesign website; looks like the mac mini is more than enough; I may have to outfit it with an internal 7200 rpm sata hd; seagate has the momentus 2.5 inch 160gb hd that i'm considering.
That and a couple of firewire hd's and i'm good to go.
