Right I've done this but when I put it in the unused folder it doesn't seem to change anything. The plug-in is still usable and doesn't disappear from my project.

If the plugin still works, then you probably copied it instead of moving it. Since 11 is a 64 bit program, try going to Program Files>Common Files>Avid>Audio>Plugins(ProgramFiles(x86) is the path to 32 bit plugins).

I am having the same issue, pop and then loss of sound during playback or bounce. Did you ever figure out what the problem was?
