003 Mic Pre Amp Extension?
Hello,
I am new to this forum and I am so many questions :) I have the new Digidesign 003 Factory with Pro Tools 8 and I want to start recording full drums and need more then just the 4 Mic Pre Amps, I am looking at buying a 8 pre amp converter (I think that's what its called) much like the BEHRINGER ADA800. I want a good quality one that is cheap? Any suggestions? I am sorry if my lingo isn't quite correct, this thread is in the wrong section or I make no sense but I am knew and I am trying to work this out. Thank you, Matthew Fischer.

Hi Mathew,
welcome to the DUC. Your best bet is to connect a pre via ADAT for the additional 8 channels! Check out this site of our fellow Ducer spkguitar: http://ptnewbie.com/?cat=4 Hope that helps

Yeah & the Behringer, despite its price & company, is a very usable unit...

Some other options:
Presonus D8, firestudio, DigiMax Focusrite Octo Pre w/option card M-Audio Octane or Profire2626 Mackie 800R Focusrite ISA428 or 828 w/option card
