ilok driver problems

Please help if you have any suggestions. I can't run the Pro Tools 10 demo, because the ilok driver for Windows won't install. I've tried downloading it several times, tried looking for the ilok driver with windows update - it doesn't find it and when I try installing the driver downloaded from ilok's site a box pop up that says "Please wait while required Microsoft DLLs are installed" (License Support Installation will be next)

But no installation window ever comes up, the installer just stops suddenly, another installer window seems its about to pop up on the dashboard, then it disappears and the first installer window disappears as well. It leaves the ilok without an installed driver and PT10 won't open.

Any suggestions? Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Create a fresh partition, install Windows 7 including SP1 and than install Pro Tools 10 Trail. By default PACE Driver and License Support should install as part of the Pro Tools Prerequisites.

It could be your browser. Which did you use and can you try a different browser? Having said that, if you have a working setup right now, don't ruin it. Do the separate partition and install as Aaron suggested, or swap out for another system drive. At the very least, save a drive image so you can get back to your working setup, should anything go sour.

Thanks guys. Yep, reinstalling windows worked. Not sure what happened to mess up the installer, but it worked just fine 2nd time around. Thanks again
