AES or Analog - Avid Pro Audio Community

AES or Analog

Hello fellow toolers
I have on order the Avid Matrix and the Eventide 9000.
Should I go out of the 9000 into the Matrix and back via the analog I/O card or the AES ?
If I use the AES will the 9000 come up as an insert /send destination ?
