Actually I didn't mean to defend Drew (I'm not his mom), I just wanted to calm the heat down a little.
Sorry that you feel you have to leave. Every member of the community is a valuable addition to discussions and helping others out.
And mods shouldn't be the reason to drive members away. Your comment, Drew, that has been deleted, wasn't really necessary, was it? This is not appropriate behaviour for a mod.

Drew is one of the good guys here; actually most if not all of the new moderators here are good guys. They're here to not only answer questions and escalate things up the ladder when there's a tech problem someone is having but also to help reign things in when they get out of hand.

There's been a number of times in the past where threads have gotten out of hand because something's escalated between posters and a lot of ill will has been generated (witness the Waves aax dsp debacle and a certain few posters) which could have been nipped in the bud if these mods were around. At that time the only moderators were DTS (which is actually multiple people that post using that moniker) and things got really bad. We're actually seeing less of that now for the most part thanks to the new mods. If they have to step in to calm things down then I'm all for it.
